Brian Friel, CIC, CIRMS, a partner with Smith Insurance Associates in Spring House, PA was elected President of the Board and will assume office on January 1 as the new President of the Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley Chapter of Community Associations Institute.

Friel, along with other members of the chapter’s leadership, were elected by the chapter Board of Directors at the December 12 Board Meeting. Friel has been involved in community association insurance and risk management since 2000 and has been an active volunteer with CAI for many years.

“I look forward to working with the chapter leadership, board members, staff and dozens of chapter volunteers as we continue to bring information, resources and critical educational services to homeowners as well as community association managers. Our goal is to build better communities, and help residents of community associations to protect the value of their most important asset, their home,” Friel said.
